Allie Abgarian is a Swedish writer and dedicated world traveller currently based in London. She is addicted to the written word and is sharing her stories with The Great Affairs whilst building a career in PR.

Brian Michael Barbeito is a resident of Ontario, Canada. The author of the prose poem novel Postprandial, a compilation of short writings entitled Vignettes, and a collection of flash fiction called Windows without Glass. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he is a writer of fiction, non-fiction, book and film reviews. He has writing in or forthcoming at various venues such as Glossolalia, Synchronized Chaos, Otis Nebula, Kurungabaa, and NFTU (Notes from the Underground) magazines.

Daniel East is an Australian writer currently working in Sydney publishing game reviews on Square-Go (square-go.com) and theatre reviews on media culture reviews (reviews.media-culture.org.au). He is a graduate of UOWs Creative Writing degree and his poetry and non-fiction have appeared in Cordite, Mascara, Voiceworks, Red River Review and are soon to appear in PAN Magazine and cutthroat. His play Sexy Tales of Paleontology (co-written with Patrick Lenton) won the 2010 Sydney Fringe Comedy Award and he is a member of Australia's only performance poetry boyband, The Bracket Creeps.

Chris Cruickshank is a radio producer living in Glasgow. He was a question writer on The Weakest Link and used to work in a chocolate shop in Vancouver. A former semi-professional footballer he is also an award winning tie-wearer and robot dancer.

Cate Hopkins lives and works in Cardiff until she has enough funds to go travelling again. Her love affair with the backpack started in 2006 and she has no intention of quitting the habit just yet. Her travels have taken her to Europe, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand and she is very excited there is still a lot of world left to explore.

Karen McGuigan has a degree in film and media studies and is currently working towards a modern languages degree. She has worked in France and Italy for some years and she loves seeing the normal life and culture of local people.

Orla O Muiri is a twenty-year-old journalism student studying in Edinburgh. She spends her summers travelling the world to participate in and document extreme sports. Her adventure blog can be found at http://orlamuiri1.wordpress.com

Ettie Shattock is a student and currently lives in Edinburgh. She has lived in Germany and France and relishes any opportunity to discover places, people and cultures, near or far. She enjoys creative and travel writing and is hoping to broaden her experience by contributing to the Great Affairs.

Camille Soulier is a French writer who lives for the slopes.

Michelle Turley is based in the West Midlands and works for one of the UK’s largest travel companies. She has previously lived in the Balearic Islands in Majorca and has regularly visited the Caribbean and New York city. Michelle also writes fictional short stories which are published online.
